h3 heading tag element
h3 is a Hypertext Markup Language element and one of heading elements. H3 heading element is a third most important heading element. It is usually placed in body section in HTML web document. The purpose of h3 heading element is to show some text as heading for a particular content in web pages. In Hypertext Markup Language, it is a superior heading element than h4, h5 and h6 heading elements but it's also an inferior element when compare its priority with h1 and h2 heading elements. The default font size of h3 heading element is less to show its inferiority but its size is big than other heading tag elements to shows its superiority.
It must be used in web documents after using h1 and h2 heading elements in web document in order to maintain a constructive web page design. In fact, the original font and size of h3 heading element does not meet modern web designing standards but it can be customized using Cascading Style Sheet web page styling system. It plays a superior role in web document than remaining HTML elements. Hence, it set to occupy a full row in a web document and does not share its space with another other web elements.
H3 heading element is also known h3 heading tag because it is formed by its start and end tag elements which are denoted with <h3> and </h3> respectively. There is another reason for calling it heading tag, it holds the text data by tagging text data with its start and end tag elements.

It is placed inside the body element of HTML document as example in above code box. The fundamental syntax is writing as shown in above HTML code but the text which you want to use as heading must be placed inside the h3 heading element. Syntax of this element is same for all versions HTML technology including HTML5.
By default, h3 element appears in Times New Roman in 18 pixels size with bold. Whenever some text is placed inside the h3 heading element, it automatically transformed into its font style and size. It can be observed in above web browser preview.
h3 heading tag element usually places in web documents in content section. Fundamentally, it has to be used after using the h1 and h2 heading tag elements. However, it should not be used instead of using h1 and h2 heading tag elements. It is a third level heading text elements and it can be used as many times as you can but it can only be to represent equal priority text headings.
